Hey hello, I'm glad I was invited to come here. I already love it. Don't think I am shy, I just want to listen and learn a LOT. As a German with Native blood (didn't know about this til 2005) I will probably sometimes ask 'stupid' questions . Be sure- to me they are honest and serious. So- beware ;D I hope there will be no misunderstandings because of the language barrier. Wardancer, thank you for your invitation.

Sister, there are no such things as "stupid" questions only questions which we will try to answer, sorry my German is too rusty to attempt to speak it let alone write it. Welcome to our family!! AHO

Anyway Welcome to our family well yes since i joined i now have 2 line to honer my family and Jubia is my hybrid family member her name was given to her by the man from Oaxaca Mexico who lived with us for years ,any way her name is the poetic word for rain in Spanish ,to say rain or jubia in a poem, it might go like this, the soft jubia fell gently on my face as the wind whispered her name sweetly i saw her shadow dance in the moon light i called to her. she showing her self to the hiding love of her heart, how could it be this being could love me. And in the honer of her i carry her name. Thank you for your welcome to your Family

I agree that is a beautiful poem keep writing, the Creator has bless you with a wonderful talent, absolutely WONDERFULAHO today my soul leap free in communion with women, the freedom of our woman life with the cares of love and children given in laughter spent in years of finding fullness of man,the walk we chose willing open to love if it finds our heart and can hold the trust of love but most of the time we walk having love but without the nearness of it,knowing the creative being we are and knowing the realness of that we give .so may your heart be full of life and the love you have to give and i pray we turn to all that can love too. in trust with our wisdom in place and kindness in place too.to find the banlance of and given in balance of love.

wehali.com/tsalagi/index.cfmTried on this site. Noel is not available. Closest I found is Christmas translated in Cherokee: u-na-de-ti-yi-s-gv-i or for the English phonics ooh-nah-day-tee-yee-sss-guh-ee working on downloading the Cherokee font to spell it for you.

Hey there folks, I pray that all are well and safe.
My name on here is Cherosage. I am new here, actually I'm back after a couple of months. My Computer took a nose dive so I was out of commission for a while.
I use Cherosage because I am Cherokee, Osage, Shawnee, Chicasaw and even Delaware(way back).
I saw this community on Powwows.com from talking to White Eagle. I plan on coming back more often now. Hey there Wardancer, I pray all is well with your family. How was Deer Season?

Hi, everyone really seems friendly here. Hope I'm doing this right. I read about the new rules and read the help information. I'm a member of the Crow Creek Sioux tribe, Fort Thompson South Dakota. My status card states I'am 3/4 Sioux indian and Irish and English on my fathers side, Grandfathers last name Cloud Eagle. I was not raised on the reservation, but have kept in touch with my relatives.

Hi, I'm white and not a native American, but I'm interested in learning more about their ways, I'm a traditional witch. I believe that the native American ways can be beneficial to my path.

Hi rhian, That's fine, no problems. This forum is for any Native American Indians and non-Indian members, they're welcome with us. We have some old non-Indian members around here. I'm sure they'll like to meeting you. I noticed your avatar have been deleted by me in my photobucket.com because it's old. So, I created a special Wolf animation avatar for you. Welcome to the Native American & Cherokee Cultural Community! Looking forward to chatting with you anytime.

My Name is Susan Lee (I keep the last name out of print) and I am in Palm Coast Florida...I have a diverse background, one of them is being on the air in radio...I am a DJ on the air...for a small LP or Low Power station in Flagler Beach Florida which format is Oldies...I am usually on on Saturdays E.S.T. from 11 am to 3 pm but recently I have broken my knee, and I have a much needed vacation so I will be off for a while...You all can tune in via the internet at www.TheBlizzard.us, and hear my voice talking on the Sponsorship announcements..(called this because it is low power FM, meaning we are not commercial...yet...we will however have a signal simulcasted to serve a wider area in the future...for now we are local news, weather from our Brighthouse weather station in Orlando....with Jeff Day and a host of others whom give us our much needed warnings and reports...for Hurricane updates...we are the only locally programmed station...serving about 85 thousand in this area.... My family is diverse and intresting, as well my Great Grandfather's name was "Cherokee Butler" and my Grandfather's name Loren "Buffalo Butler" whom has a very intresting past of which he wanted me to take his account of his large family in a little book he wrote on his memories during a tripthey took accross America in and Old Jackson Automobile in 1915 he wrote the memories and had pictures of the Native Americans of that era in photos along with his family and their trip Jornal...he wanted me to publish it and place it in the Library of Congress...He as my Great Granfather Cherokee Butler....both Cherokee decendants..with blue eyes...blonde hair...not sure of Great Grandfather's history of which I am researching ... ...I would enjoy finding places to go to Pow Wows, sweat Lodge ceremonys and peace pipe ceremony....Ghost and any other associated information in my area...I was a member of "Keepers of The Circle" in Albany NY...as a decendant of Cherokee ancestory, ... Alot of Mohawk "Indians" we say Native American, not sure if using Indian is a good thing, as the Mohawks are very strick....want no likenesses to discriminate the tribal name...like using logos on Football team Jerseys in the local High Schools up there...Also in that neck of the woods from where I was from ...much History of all tribes...I also have a NY Walk book given to me by Buffalo Butler, on the Appilachian trail and how he did the whole trip....by foot...He was truly an American Icon...Buffalo was the head of the power squaderon in NY City...he worked for the Western Electric Company in NY,...my other half of the family built his home on Long Island...everyone ecept my half Brother Bob is deceased...and I feel a spirited Ghost cermony and peace pipe cleansing..and celbration is in order to establish oneness with the Earth Mother as my Mother Barbara died this last February... I also have a freind here whom is Iriquoi,...of which my freeind Hemp Ingle was in NY...(now Deceased)..Hemp brought me to the "Keepers of The Circle" years ago" and I was honored to respect and uphold the Native Community.. He also gave me a beaded headband from a chief in the Mohawk Nation which I treasure...and is on my wall with my artifacts from the Butler Farm in Iowa...there is a County named after my family in Iowa, Butler County...they lived in Arion,...not even on the map now!...they went to National Parks during their trip accross the great West...to Jackson Hole Wyoming...the Book he wrote..."Jackson H0" My freind Kat whom is Iriquoi, and I need our Native roots embraced here in Florida...we need contacts and information,...we are crafty women, who can keep our heritage in check with crafts, fund raisers, and we are responsible reporters for respect to all Native Sensitive Issued...I am a reporter with my credentials with the Sherrifs Department within this county... Pleas accept my introduction, I would honor a trip to visit you at your group and would fly to meet with you, Sincerely Susan Lee Nicholson 45 Pony Express Drive Palm Coast, Florida 32164 note: I accidentally ordered the replacement card and not the application form... so you can credit my account unless if I qualify to be a member of your nice group I can get an extra card...ok? I know that I have a lot of Cherokee blood in me but I don't know too much about my family. I was adopted when I was 3 days old. My birth mother's name was Honey McMutrey (as far as I know that was her last name). I have been told by a cousin that I have a greaqt, great grandmother who was full blood cherokee, and maried to an indian chief. I have another great grandmother who is full blood also. One of the names was Ona Pearl but am not sure who it belonged to. My grandmother was full blood and then there was my mom. My adopted name is Nancy Carol Anne (Bock) Day. My adopted family used to take me to the reservations all the time and they said my name was Eagle Eye . Is there any way to find out for sure
