I woke up this morning from a dream on the night of my 49 birthday. I knew my name. "Coyote Dances With Rainbows" perhaps someone could translate it so I can find a route to my old tribal family. I dont now what language but will recognise it when I see it. Thank you. x

HI White Eagle thats the problem I live in the UK and have only been to the USA a few times. however I am drawn to Indian ways without reason. so we are talking past life. who do you know from england who knew how to make hawks and knives in the old way and throw them into a tree at 25 paces at the age of 11. I used to be able to walk in the woods and hunt with a bow that I had made and dont forget this is the cute british countryside not the plains or hills of america where i can absorbe this knowledge by exposure. my spirit guides are white eagle. white feather, and old man. all native americans. they speak with me often. I'm just looking for clues to heal my past. but have very few. I understand that many british soldiers took/ raped/ (may they be forgiven) or married native american girls so a genetic link is possible. shawnee is a word that came to mind whilst writing this. perhaps a message. thanks for looking

I have a rainbow painted on my pipe. You know what "Coyote Dances With Rainbows" is saying? There are legends in many Native American tribes about the Rainbow Family. There will come a time when they shall become known. A person of the Rainbow Family is one who walks in all the knowledge of the Red Road. I don't think these legends were referring to a group of environmentalist who call themselves Rainbow Warriors". Some Natives see the Coyote as a tricky or witty character, perhaps in deceiving way. To me a Coyote represents intellectual wit, survival skills. I don't know what tribe specifically, you could associate that with...there could be many. Obviously, to Dance with Rainbows implies learning the Old Ways. It could possibly suggest there might have been a mixed marriage, one Indian and the other not-Indian. Cherokee, I am thinking, is one of the tribes that has passed down these Rainbow Prophesies. I just thought of something else...in California just about 2 years into following the Red Road. I didn't think there was any Indian blood in me. But up in the Mountain there, I set up a stone Medicine Wheel. When doing a pipe ceremony alone, something happened. It was as if there was an outline, of an Indian with a feathered headdress standing there. I began to think maybe the spirit of an Indian was here because he didn't approve of my being there. Now I know it must have been to let me know I am part Indian.

Thanks guys for the great info. I have been researching my past and found out lots of my family came from Spain. They travelled to American and Jamaca involved with the slave trade and possibly as invaders to South America. White Eagle you ask about "Old Man. He has no other name (that I know) but when I see him he is old and very wise. long dark straight hair no decoration. he is happy to be called old man. However I have just learned that the coyote is also called "old man" by some in Indian Lore . Perhaps he was also called Coyote but translated for me into English. An interesting thing happened I was making a medicine wheel to give a blessing to a lake that I thought was sad. I was looking under a yew tree for feathers and found the pelvis bone of a fox. I added it to my wheel and thanked the fox for his gift. I felt that was the right thing to do. the lake seems happier. you might ask how i knew it was sad. I know some of you feel energy the same way I do. I noticed around the lake there were few birds. when I left the lake seemed more alive.
