I'm new. My wife is of Blackfoot descent and I was adopted by a Chiracaua Apache. My wife and I have been in an inter-tribal village for about 5 years. I hope that my being adopted doesn't upset anyone as I have chosen to follow the good Red Road as I know that it is the only way to live and I don't plan on changing. I have learned a lot in the past few years but I want to learn as much as possible and I believe this is one way to do that seeing that many people are represented here.

Osyio (hello in Cherokee) thunderbear1951, I have heard about Native American parents adopted non-Indian or mixed-blooded Indian children in the past, the tribes don't mind Indian parents adopted non-Indian or mixed-blood Indian children and they're welcome to their's tribes, friends, Pow-Wow and Stomp Ground (Stomp Dance is for Cherokees). If non-Indian have been learned how do Pow-Wow dancer or Stomp- Dancer and some Culture/Old Ways then they're welcome them. No problems! I have been met many many Blackfoots, Apaches, Cherokees, Navajos, Siouxs and other mixed-blooded Indian tribes at the Booths with port shades close by the Pow-Wow (has a big port to shade us) area last year on September 1st and 2nd in Bandera, Texas (by Hill Country, TX). They're very friendly to me and they gave me a very nice gifts! I thanked them so much for blessed me! I'm really happy to visited them and they asked my Admin Huronwoman (from this Native American Community forum) who live in Wilberly, TX when I can come over there again, they're really miss me. I told her I will be ready to come there by next end of the month on August 31st, September 1st and 2nd then I'll visiting them sometime. My mother "White Feather" & her 2nd husband Terry (he's non-Indian but his wife is Cherokee Indian (my mother) they're welcome him to my Tribe members). My mother and I having Ceremony meeting with my Tribe members (Huronwoman, laughingeyes, my mother White Feather, her husband and I are members of The United Native American Indians of Texas Tribe). I'm Pow-Wow Straight Dancer and Stomp Dancer. Let us know when you need help with this forum or other else, we can help you anytime.
