Redfeather, I went to the top 2 sites you listed - I love the background on the first one and the music on the 2nd. Where did you get the background? Jennie

Edit: I no longer have the website

Yeah White Eagle, it is my domain and I own all of it, 300,000 MB of storage. I traded my old domain in for a new one. They had upgraded the server from 800 MB to the new 300,000 MB. Got all at my old price. I used to pay yearly auto-renew, now have 2 year auto-renew. Saved enough money on the deal so actually paid for 2 years what cost for one at old price. This is because had some credit of 6 months left on the old.
I would like to have a Pow Wow events calendar on the site eventually. No shortage of storge, it will take time just to use up 10%. Only ever used 11% up on the old of 800 MB. So, I'm leaving the site open to other people, if they want to write articles. I know plenty to write on, would be nice to see some articles by a few more natives on the site or craft projects. Show some pictures of your craft work, telling how it is done.
After a few more pages will submit my site to the search engines so peole can Google it.

I will keep searching more Pow-Wow events for this year and next year then I will post new Topic(s) (thread) in this N.A.C (Native American Community) Pow-Wow Events Board. When I'm done, you can copy my Pow-Wow Events 2007 & 2008 list link and then add it in your website. So, it'll helps to saving your space in your Website. Let me know if it's working or not. If not, we will keep working on it. When you need help to paying for your Website, I can helping you with that! Let me know when I mail the money order out to you. (I don't have Paypal.... ) I added this N.A.C forum and free Website - www.freewebs.com in Google Search, it's works very well for public, guests and NDN (Indian) members can find us there. Click here. (I'm not finish to adding more information yet because I don't know how saying to them well). I need your help, If you can help me what we write (information) to the Public & NDN people then I can copy & paste your information and then I'll add more information there. If I don't know how to finding add information pages with my freewebs.com, I can give you my user name and password to log in and then you can add more information to them for me and us. So, it's easier for you to add information there. I'll send a private message to you about that, let me know when you're ready. Wado for help!

Ok White Eagle...except I want to use my storage, to have the info on my website. I don't know how we could ever begin to use up half of the space. The 300,000 MB is equal to fifteen thousand free websites of 20 MB like Anglefire.com or Geocities.com where you build your own
I have given you a folder for pages plus an image folder also. Look at the page, put your image on it. Just PM me the info when ready. Add pages each time for new crafts. I will write it in proper speech for pages, need the info, images. I upload to server as finished.
Edit:don't have the site anymore
Pow Wow calendar too, PM me list of events as ready.
Edit:don't have the site anymore

Welcome Chief Stone Bear! Some of the regular ones have been going through physical problems recently. I've been adding some traditions such as sweat lodge, pipe ceremonies, etc. in the Old Ways board (sub board under Culture, Language). Good to have you here at NAC.

They are supposed to be offering tribal membership, I guess "Federally recognized" would be important to see on their website. Right now, can't remember seeing it mentioned anywhere. It must not have occurred to us here to check for it, we just assumed that was the case. Looks like you're doing a lot of checking on things, as a mod would. I was hoping to add another mod to this site. If you want a mod position, just say so, I'll switch your profile status to NAC moderator. Maybe at the same time upgrade Standsalone to admin, a site should have another, in case something would happen, the site can keep going.

I'm sure our Admin Lone4eagle will check into this! Wado for the info! When you move threads, there is the option whether or not to leave a "moved thread" link post. We had so many moved threads, after changing boards, it was good to leave them for members to locate the posts. But now, might be good to delete some, otherwise the boards look cluttered. Just tried deleting one, the moved post was still there.

Maybe at the same time upgrade Standsalone to admin, a site should have another, in case something would happen, the site can keep going. Well, it looks like the membership they're offering is clearly spelled out as NOT being a member of the Cherokee Nation of OK and NOT receiving federal funds of any kind, and having no intention to do so in the future. I emailed this to a Julie Ross, Coordinator for Tribal Recognition Project of the Cherokee Nation, and all she said was, "Thank you" and forwarded it to a Cara Watts, Tribal Council member, and all she said was, "Wado." I repeated the question you have seen previously. All dead quiet... Looks like I'm putting my nose where it needs to be. I'll give it another week, but I'm in contact with a Gary Wright of Cherokeepride.org about this, and based on what he's told me, if he is honest, I have an idea of the huge problem we have on the traditional belief's endangered status within Cherokee Nation. I did this recently, invalidating the claim that my half-aunt/uncle were related to George Custer. They are not. They said that their father had researched this very thoroughly, and I did, too. Nothing there. Then they said that It was not Gen. Custer, but Gen. Montcalm-Gozon that I am also related to, the General who died in the Battle of Quebec in 1759. I believe I invalidated that as well, but I'm waiting to hear how in heck did my uncle came in possession of something that belonged to the general. It went DEAD QUIET after I sent the email inquiring about the story of the possession of the *** redacted information ***. Did I scare up a skeleton in the closet? So, are you sure you want me to be a moderator? I would kindly accept the responsibility in honor. Wado... You do need someone to have as a backup access to the forum. You'll have to train me, though.

I'm sorry, lone4eagle, but you'll have to take that post from Chief Stone Bear on the web site in question off, because Julie Ross confirmed tonight that they are a fraudulent organization. She didn't say why. I'm waiting to see if she's willing to tell me and how to tell apart the legitimate cultural societies from the fraudulent groups. I've got another organization I'm asking her about while I'm at it, and it's kinda close to home, being in the same city (Houston).
Either take it off, or put some kind of a note of some sort.
Stephanie
