I have read a post under the Old Ways about a particular game played by our older brothers ( not sisters women were not permitted to play in these games). It is my understanding that the Ball and Stick game originated in the Canadian or Arcadian region of North America and would last for many days with many injuries and even death and was played over periods of days and even weeks I do not remember what name was given to this game but the young warriors would play until one was left standing, am I correct? Or am I just blowing smoke?

Huronwoman, I saw the same ball and stick game (how to make and play) in a Cherokee book. I will check with Bo Tayler of the Cherokee Museum, Cherokee NC who teaches everything Native.
