Hello to all. My name is Mike Stewart and I live in Houston, Texas. I have no Indian blood, bloodline or ancestry in my geneology (beleive me, I've searched); I am as whitebread as they come!
I began studying Native American history several years ago and have begun research on the Huron (Wyandot) tribe from the Great Lakes Region around the time of General Braddock's defeat at the hands of the Huron, Shawnee, Delaware and French (c. 1755). Weapons (French trade muskets, British Brown Bess), tools, proper dress (breechcloth, leggings, m'sins, etc.) and specific history is a goal.
I am interested in learning more about Native American history, cherokee culture, and any help from members on the Huron warriors from the Great Lakes.
Regards, Mike Stewart

Kinshoni,
Thank you.
Our small group will be attending a blackpowder rendezvous in October in Glen Rose, Texas. We hope to meet up with other NA interpreters there.

That's great information, very interesting. We have some non-Indian members around here are very welcome, no problem. I live in close by South Houston, TX. I would like to meeting you someday. By the way our old member huronwoman knows more about Huron Tribes, She haven't been active around here for 4 yrs..... here's her Announcement Thread, to let our members know. Just send e-mail her, she'll answer your questions. Welcome to the N.A.C & C.C.C!
