I joined their personals site. I have been there for about 4 months. And then, guess what??? I find a friend that lives less than a mile from my house! And he is Cherokee (part). And he goes to the powwows we have in this area. I am shocked and pleased. Most of the responses I was getting were all out of state. Then all of a sudden, 2feathers. He was describing where he lives, and I typed back...you just drove by my house! I don't have many RL friends in this state. I am happy to make a new one with interests similar to mine. ~Bearfoot

Thanks! I always forget to post here. Sorry.
I will ask him if he wishes to join. I have told him about this site.
He has a cabin on his property and has built a ceremonial fire/meditation circle there. There is an ancient ceremonial mound on the next property over from his. He had a psychic friend there who saw lots of Indian spirits on the land. He also makes ceremonial pipes.
We have yet to meet in person. I have been sick with a horrible cold for the past week or so. Hopefully we will get together this next week to talk face-to-face.
2feathers is the Indian name he told me. I am not sure if that was a given name, or one he adopted. I'll learn more when we actually sit down together to talk.
I'm just glad to have found a friend so close with similar interests. I've lived here two years, yet I know few people from here. My RL friends and internet friends are all out of state.
