Mom always used a light or white cake mix and frosting for them.

Indiana state tree is Tulip. It's in the magnolia family, tulip shaped flowers form at the top of the tree. Will add more about it tomorrow

Any ideas?/ First of all check this link to see if it possibly could be NA. Otherwise check the old trees to see whether there are any carved symbols of Spanish or pirate, origin. You can google Spanish signs for that info. Here is the Indian Rock pile site link. Indian Rock Piles

Thankx for the link to Indian rock piles..... Now im a lil bummed, Since an injury 30yrs ago, i've been foraging and have come across rock piles throught eastern Ma., and now in Me. i have them around here.. I just wish i had looked into this years ago.. on the other hand, i'm glad the years i've spent foraging gave me the knowledge of edibles in the wild...... I'll have to keep my eye out, now that i'm a lil more informed... Ciao
