Latin name: Ifexvomitoria
Used in male only purification & unity rites.
Tea was made from leaves & stems (black drink).
Ceremonies included vomiting.
Has one of the highest caffeine content of any other plant.
Fruit was food for Black Duck, Grouse, Quail & Wild Turkey.
Foliage & twigs were eaten by deer.
Sun & drought tolerate.

Pretty crazy huh!! I was surprised about that, I always heard when I was a kid not to eat the berries because they were poisonous!
I suppose since it is so high in caffeine, that is the reason why it is used in male ceremonies and vomiting is the purifying purpose.
