Read here as to mice and rats are used, it make sense on every level: www.lifeslittlemysteries.com/908-why-do-medical-researchers-use-mice.htmlDiabetes IS a SUGAR problem but is affected by fat intake. Every thing you eat has sugar in it, natural or unnatural sugars, and when your body breaks it down it produces, more sugars, that your body needs, the confusion on this topic is what type of diabetes a person has. Type 1 diabetes: The body does not produce insulin. Insulin is needed to turn sugars, starches and other foods into energy. Unregistered isn't too far off with her statement when thinking about commods, foods that are HIGH in Sugars, Fats (bad fats) and starches. Type II Diabetes: Either the body doesn't produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin, once again the foods you eat, can complicate your diabetes, but even if you started eating healthy, (ok, even if you could AFFORD to eat health) that will not make your diabetes go away nor will it make your body produce the insulin it needs, nor stop the build up or blood sugars or transfer sugars into teh blood stream as needed, you will still be a diabetic. So where I would TOTALLY agree with UC on fats and foods complicating you diabetes, I can not agree that it is NOT a sugar problem. For more info on diabetes PLEASE go to www.diabetes.org/

Hello Guys diabetes is a group of metabolic illnesses in which the person has high sugar either because blood insulin production is insufficient, or because your cells do not react properly to blood insulin, or both. Thanks a lot!!
