I have some really nice turkey feathers that are all brown and I want to make some designs on them, How do I do that? used acrylic paint on one but it made it really stiff. Any suggestions?

I went to www.leatherfactory.com in Missouri City, TX and I asked a lady employee what kind of dye for the feather, she showed me one named is "Fiebing's Leather DYE" works great on feathers and others. That's what I use it for my white dyed Turkey feathers to dye medium brown or dark brown on the top tip of replica Golden Eagle feathers. This picture is blur because my digital camera don't works good if I take picture inside of house, If I use flash then it's too bright to see it. Hope it does helps you.

You're VERY welcome. There's have many state and cities local where you can finding it from. When I'm finish dyed dark brown on tip then I use Q-tip to spotting below of dark brown, so I'll looks real Golden Eagle feathers. I'll take pictures when I'm finish dyed them and then I'll post here. You can send me picture when you finish dyed your feather then I can post picture here for you and our members to seeing them.
