Actually I didn't even know I had any ndn blood until I was 35 and met my second husband. When I was in high school I was called a high-cheeked boned ndn bxtch but didn't know why!!I always knew there was something different about me and was told most of my childhood, from my older sister, that my dad wasn't my dad. When my mother was pregnant with me she tried to take pills to get rid of me, obviously it didn't work ;D, she told me this at the same time I found out about my blood. My great aunt told me my great grandmother was full-blood Cherokee and that I would never find this on paper. She said her name was Mary Tharp, I can't find her in the family research I have done. I suppose if my dad really isn't my dad I won't find this, maybe my mom really isn't my mom, I don't know! I just turned 49, when I was ten two ndn guys came to my house and the tall one (Luther Blackbear) went into the kitchen with my cousin and my Mom. The other ndn ,Clarence is all I know, stayed in the livingroom with me. He gave me a bracelet and a copper ring and told me he would be back, still have not found out who he was. I have tried to find Luther Blackbear but was told a few years back on a Cherokee website that he was a bad man, doing bad medicine. I had asked my g-aunt at one time about my dad and she told me to accept the man who I have known as my dad so people don't get hurt. My people were from the mountains in Virginia. I don't know if anyone of you can help me with my search, but if you can I would appreciate it. By the way, if anyone has read my short stories that I posted on other sites, just want you to know that this is real not a made-up story. I thought by posting it someone would know Luther Blackbear or who Clarence is.
