Araminta-Piy-Siw-Wa-Rodrigguez, you may want to take all these posts and combine them into one post. This forum has a rule about making double or multiple postings, that is posting without any reply between them. I make some long posts myself. I see you know how to do that, since one has a smiley face. I don't mind myself, just the NAC forum has a couple rules. Rock piles, thanks for the link Araminta-Piy-Siw-Wa-Rodrigguez...there are so many things to learn about. Some stone circles have rocks heaped up in the center. Check this link out, 2 nice photos of old Medicine Wheel circles...notice stone heaps. www.shannonthunderbird.com/medicine_wheel_teachings.htmNot all tribes used stone circles, but had a stone Medicine Symbol for the center. It could be just one huge size upright rock, plus some smaller ones leaning on it. A tall tree branch might be added plus feathers, other ceremonial items. Indians often formed a sacred circle for ceremonies using people, also known as a Red Circle. In this old Colliers Encyclopedia set, published in the year I was born...had a photo of, I think Lakota rock Medicine Symbol. It was just a tall rock pile neatly stacked, but sacred and the center piece for the circle.

That's fine...thanks for your input. I'm glad to have some new people here, we really needed more posts. When I post, I just use the modify and add more. I always remember something I should have included with the posting...
