This is one of the websites that Tony Harris, the lecturer at the Ethnobotany Conference I watched Thursday at the Cherokee Nation site. I believe the webcast is still on the site in the archives. Very interesting!! www.gnps.org/Later I will post the information I got about uses of trees & plants from the conference that the Cherokees used! Here are a few more sites that were given: oknativeplants.org/This one Tony & his wife said was a very trusted site to order plants, the company is very knowledgeable about specific plants: www.companionplants.com/This one Tony & his wife said they ship small trees: www.nearlynativenursery.com/If you would like to start your own Cherokee garden, you should check out the conference!

Wado! I would appreciate you documenting what was covered in the Conference for people in the future and for me as well. I wouldn't be able to understand what is being said, and unfortunately, CNO doesn't provide transcripts of its videos.
It is interesting that this comes up now, since I'm sick with a bad cold and am trying to figure out how to give up white man's food for good. That's potato chips, rice dinners, spaghetti, everything! I know how to do it physically, but mentally is the hard part.
