I don't know if this has been brought up or not in some of the other sections, but there are several books about the Cherokees I've enjoyed: Robert J Conley- Medicine War Vernon Schmid- Watie's Wolves (novel about the civil war, not too in-depth on the actual story but it has tons of Cherokee legends throughout the book) Forrest Carter- Education of Little Tree. My all time favorite! A definite must-read.

Thanks for the books. I'll have to look for them. I've read a few fiction books that have to do with the Cherokee. They would be considered historical fiction. Here they are:
Soft Rain: A Story of the Cherokee Trail of Tears by Cornelia Cornelissen The Revenant by Sonia Gensler

Sorry to hear you have a cold. I hope you'll get better soon. It was in the 80s here on Wednesday, yesterday it was in the 60s. I hope it stays warm here though.
Is Sandy a hurricane? Or a tropical storm? I don't really watch the news so I don't see the weather.

I'll pray that the storm isn't too bad for you, or where I live. Last year, due to a tropical storm, Pennsylvania got a lot of flooding. Which is rare, because Pennsylvania usually doesn't get enough rain to flood.

Not sure! I know we may be getting 60-75 mph winds, which doesn't make me very happy as we live in the woods with lots of trees around the property! We may get some snow since we border W. Va. or may get a lot of rain, possible power outages! Should be fun...lol! I just got back from NC last night. We came through a little of W. Virginia on Interstate 77. It was drizzle, then some rain, not really getting bad yet. I have an aunt and uncle in Elkin, NC. Mom has a cabin just south of there (1 month). Dad and I were there 1 week. Relatives will bring back Mom around Thanksgiving.
