Latin name: arborescens (means becomes like tree)
Inner bark used for vomiting in children.
Poultice of bark for sore or swollen muscles, boil and put warm solution on area.
Poultice of scraped bark for burns.
Bark chewed for stomach trouble and high blood pressure.
Tea from inner bark & leaves used as a stimulant.
Found in moist soil under a forest canopy of close to streams.
Stem bark tends to peel off in several layers & colors...hence the name "seven bark".

Not sure what the shrub looks like, sounds familiar. I don't know the names of all the ones we have on our property yet. Medical companies won't spend the money for research on common plants that cure.

Cherokee Nation.org did have the video in the archives, he did have pics of some of the plants/trees that show you what they look like. He said if you had the latin name you would be able to purchase plants from the Georgia Plant society online. I put the links for the places online where you could purchase plants/trees.

Almost any plant has plenty of photos can be found in a Google image search.
