I liked the topic of this conversation lol. I'm new, a bit shy, but I've things I want to discuss here, and that I'd really like to get opinions on. I'm definitely going to be starting a new topic very soon! I've got to be away this weekend, but I'll be thinking of how to begin & hope that I won't be thought of as crazy or something lol. The more I read here the better I'm beginning to feel. I will be first to say as you asked standsalone, I do like this place!
I don't really make resolutions. But I have some goals and that is to write more, to submit my writing to magazines and continue to work on my business.
So how's your writing going? I haven't had any inspirations for awhile to write anything....it's like my crocheting and needlepoint....do it for awhile and then start working on something else
It's going well. I've submitted to a few places already this year and in a few days I'm going to submit about four poems to a magazine called Rattle. I haven't had any acceptances yet this year, but I'm going to continue to submit until I do.
Glad to hear that! I love reading your poetry.....have you posted any on here?
No, I haven't. I don't really post my writing online anymore. What I write, I keep for submitting to magazines. I do it that way because most magazines won't accept your writing if it's been posted online, as they consider it already published.
I will keep you updated whenever my writing is accepted somewhere though.

chuck: I have studied the word A'HO and have read in studies that various tribes use this word as greeting, thank you, or ending in prayer. However in further study I read that this is not true and that this word is not real or used. Any thoughts?
